Chicago’s Houseware Show
When a client chose the Chicago’s Houseware Show to introduce their new products they also chose Mannequin in Motion to focus on the key messages behind that merchandise.
Four living mannequins were selected for their ability to pose, unmoving, for long periods of time as well as their talent to perform choreographed routines. They wore specially designed costumes coordinated to the booth colors; form fitting, yet flexible enough to allow for transitional poses. The three-day event consistently drew attendees to the booth to watch the living mannequins “freeze” on pedestals or, at assigned cues, interact with their audience, demonstrating the lightness and beauty of the new products.
The show concluded with a media event where photographers, reporters, editors and guests mingled with Mannequin in Motion talent who also performed a choreographed, musical, in-booth performance designed to call even more attention to the product message.
